Description
Even prior to creating a formalized program, residencies have been a cornerstone of our mission. Before adopting the name Pioneer Works, our founding team proposed the "Museum of the Working Artist". While the name didn’t stick—the ethos did. We are deeply committed to providing emerging artists, musicians, and technologists with a space to work, tools to create, and a platform to exchange ideas.
Each September, we select residents through an open call. Aided by a jury of experts and Alumni Residents, Pioneer Works welcomes residents who work outside existing models and “norms” of their field and will benefit from our unique facilities and culture. As such, Pioneer Works shifts and evolves to reflect the interests and work of each new cohort of residents, from public education offerings to Second Sundays, a monthly forum of artistic experimentation through activations, open studios, and performance.

Description
We are thrilled to announce the continuation of our Graduate Residency programme. This is a fully supported opportunity for an early-career ceramicist to further their practice through a year-long residency with full studio access, mentorship, and a fully subsidised apartment in the heart of the city.
The residency is open to graduates of art and design third-level institutions (within the past three years), based in Ireland or internationally, with demonstrated excellence in ceramics and pottery. In collaboration with staycity, the programme offers free accommodation in an independent apartment for the full 12-month period alongside access to Throwing Shapes’ expansive studio facilities.

Description
The Shadowing Program 2026 is an intensive, hands-on international exchange in Bologna, Italy, supported by the CultureAndHealth Platform and implemented locally by Associazione Oltre…APS. The program brings together artistic research, collaborative production, and community-based participatory workshops to explore how art can support collective well-being, social inclusion, and cultural welfare in local neighbourhood contexts. It will take place from 20.09.2026 – 04.10.2026.
At the centre of the 2026 edition is the participatory art project “Threads of the Social Fabric”, developed through a cycle of workshops in Bologna’s Cirenaica district and culminating in the creation of a collective textile artwork. The final artwork will be permanently installed in an indoor public space connected to the city’s social policies or public health sphere, making the outcomes of the residency visible and lasting, both artistically and civically.

Description
RAMDAM, UN CENTRE D’ART is an activist space who supports artists in their artistic research.
The residencies are open to artists or teams engaged in creation, research or experimentation, without the need to produce a finished work. The venue is a tool to be invented and reinvented, or even relocated, as artistic experimentation unfolds: dance, theatre, performance, painting, sculpture, drawing, film, video, literary writing, screenwriting, digital art, hybrid forms… whatever the field in which the project is situated, RAMDAM, UN CENTRE D'ART is eager to discover it.
RAMDAM is committed to ensuring that the cultural world does not distance itself from social and emancipatory struggles. As a forum for discourse and public speech, RAMDAM takes a firm stance on the state of the cultural world.
